The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA might be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no SRD absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The support level created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to enable the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
